OneSeven Tech (OST) is seeking talented professionals on a contract basis to join our team as Full-Stack Developers with expertise in Next.js, React, and Python. This position is fully remote with a preference for candidates in the Miami, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires areas.

The Role:

This isn't just another development position – you'll be making a real impact working with a scrappy, innovative startup backed by some big voices in tech. You'll play a crucial role in taking their video editing and transcription product from MVP to Beta, applying your skills across both frontend and backend development. About you

You are someone who excels at full-stack development with experience in video-related applications. In this role, you'll contribute to a video editing and transcription platform, developing features that help users manipulate, search, and extract value from video content. You excel at taking abstract concepts and implementing clean, efficient solutions using Next.js, Node.js, and Python. You'll need to practice agile methodologies, write thorough documentation and unit tests, and adhere to development procedures like pull requests, branch naming etc.

Onboarding

Onboarding will be conducted by video call. We expect a quick onboarding process, enabling you to contribute to projects swiftly after starting.

Team Structure and Role Integration: This position is for our Integrated Roles client, offering a contract-to-full-time opportunity. You will be embedded within the client's team, working closely with them to deliver impactful solutions. This structure allows for a seamless transition to a full-time role based on performance and mutual agreement.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working as Full-stack Developer
• Intermediate English level (important)
• Demonstrate an AI-first mindset to speed up writing good code
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work 9am-5pm EST
• Provide your own workspace with reliable Internet service
• Passionate about the startup environment and eager to learn
• Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team
• Ability to research as you work
• Accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment
• Desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic team
• Keen eye for detail and excel in documentation

Technical Requirements: 

• Expert in Next.js, Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with video-related work is a plus
• Strong Python skills for backend and AI functionality
• Familiarity with transcription APIs and implementation
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• GIT + GitHub experience
• Well versed in frontend tools and libraries (e.g., TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, Redux)
• Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Docker is preferred
• Experience with Terraform is preferred
• Experience with unit testing
• Must have AWS experience
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Own the entire development lifecycle from planning to deployment
• Present your solutions with confidence and collect actionable feedback for iterating

• Starting at $3000 - $4000 depending on qualifications and experience
