We are partnering with a global healthcare leader to build a high-performance engineering hub in Costa Rica. This team will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Epic, the leading EHR platform in the US. You will be a foundational member of a project with massive scale potential—starting with a specialized core team and growing significantly over the next few years.
What you’ll do
- Configure and Support Epic Modules: Build, test, and optimize specific Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare, Willow, Cadence) to improve clinical workflows.
- On-site Collaboration: Work daily from our secure, dedicated physical office in Costa Rica to ensure HIPAA compliance and data security.
- US-Based Training: Travel to headquarters in Verona, Wisconsin, to undergo intensive, in-person certification training.
- System Integration: Collaborate with US-based teams to integrate Epic with external systems using HL7 and FHIR standards.
- Direct Impact: Serve as a critical technical link for hospital systems, ensuring the platform meets the needs of healthcare providers and patients.
What we’re looking for
- Healthcare IT Foundation: Proven experience working within healthcare systems, EHR platforms, or clinical data environments.
- Epic Exposure: Prior hands-on experience or "Proficiency" status in one or more Epic modules.
- Travel Readiness: A valid visa or passport that permits travel to the United States is non-negotiable for the certification phase.
- Costa Rica Based: Must be located in Costa Rica (San José metro preferred) and available for full-time, in-office work.
- Strong Communication: Professional-level English (verbal and written) to collaborate effectively with US stakeholders.
- Ownership Mentality: Comfortable being part of a "Phase 1" launch where high performance leads to rapid growth.
Nice to have
- Active Epic Certification: Current module-specific certifications (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient, Bridges).
- Implementation Experience: Background in EHR go-lives, module configuration, or complex system integrations.
- Relevant Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Healthcare-related fields.
