Engineering Team Lead — Solutions Architecture, AWS, AI/LLM (Latam) at OneSeven Tech

Project Brief

We're looking for a versatile Engineering Team Lead to serve as a high-level technical partner for our leadership team and CTO-level engagements. This is a unique hybrid of Solutions Architect, Forward-Deployed Engineer, and Strategic Consultant. You'll lead digital transformations by bridging the gap between business vision and technical execution — architecting complex systems, building rapid PoCs to close deals, and jumping into the code to unblock teams. Above all, you're a translator: you turn ambitious ideas into scalable reality and clear, decision-ready narratives for executives.

Must-Haves

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or project management
• Exceptional ability to simplify complex AI and infrastructure roadmaps for non-technical executives — clarity is your #1 tool
• Hands-on coding skills — you must remain "dangerous" with code and be the go-to for the most complex technical challenges
• Deep experience with system architecture: Monoliths, Microservices, and Hexagonal patterns
• Advanced cloud and DevOps experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
• Exceptional English and Spanish skills — able to navigate executive-level discussions and technical deep-dives with equal ease

Nice to Have

• Industry knowledge in HealthCare, Legal, Real Estate, or FinTech
• Experience with compliance frameworks and highly regulated environments
• Experience implementing or architecting LLM-based solutions or data infrastructure

What You Will Do

• Serve as the technical voice in executive-level engagements on AI, cloud, and infrastructure — translating complex strategies into clear narratives that build client confidence
• Partner with the CEO to provide high-accuracy effort estimation, technical analysis, and feasibility assessments for new business and account growth
• Build rapid, functional prototypes and PoCs as a forward-deployed engineer to support sales initiatives
• Lead the design of complex systems and define technical documentation, standards, and best practices
• Act as a force multiplier for engineering teams — unblocking technical hurdles, mentoring developers, and leading on complex features when needed
• Take ownership of project lifecycles, integrations, and delivery standards under tight deadlines
• Lead technical interviews to benchmark and hire top-tier engineering talent
• Step into critical projects to resolve issues and stabilize environments when needed
